Catch the Falling Items!


For my first attempt at a Unity game, I wanted to develop a mini game for catching falling objects.

The general game goal is to collect as many of the correct color object as possible, with the color determined by the floating cube on the upper right corner.

By focusing on the color of the objects, the player is forced to use cognitive abilities in addition to general rehabilitation motions. This adds an extra level of difficulty for patients recovering from strokes because often their multi-tasking ability is highly imparied.

Overall, my first thought draft of the mini game was for the character to push around a wheelbarrow and collect falling leaves. However, leaf and wheelbarrow objects were hard to find in the asset store. So, the wheelbarrow turned into a recycling bin, and the leaves have been temporarily replaced with mushrooms.

Spawning and falling actions were enabled. However, there are still many things that still need to be added before the game is ready!
